I am wearing a black gown underneath two stoles and three honor cords. On top is a white National Honor Society (NHS) stole shaped like a tapered trapezoid keystone. The NHS stole has an official embroidered patch with a capital letter N inside a circle at the corner. The patch is like an upside-down triangle cut in half near the top where 'National Honor Society' is spelled out, goes to be similar to a window, and it has a narrow base with CMLS letters.

Underneath the white stole is my classic purple Independence High School stole. Layered on top are three honor cords: a purple cord representing my school, a white cord for one hundred hours of community service through NHS and various others, and a blue, red, and white cord combined together for four years in Academic Decathlon club and class.
